Bio: Michelle Hutnik, Sc.D.

Michelle received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State in Polymer Science. She received her doctorate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering. Michelle is currently the Director of Research Analytics within the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research, a position she has held since 2016. Her primary responsibilities include formalizing and strengthening the university’s ability to identify and showcase its research strengths and performance. 

Previously, Michelle was the Medical Science Team Leader at the Angiogenesis Foundation in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her professional experience also includes biotechnology and pharmaceutical market research and strategic planning, with an emphasis on competitive analysis for investor relations, technology assessment and potential acquisitions.
